A celebration of the art and achievements of Logan Square youth
Aldermen Rey Colon and Manny Flores, and state representative, Toni Berrios, gathered with parents and community members at Center Portion to celebrate the art and achievements of Logan Square youth. The event was an end of the year gala and group art show for the at-risk youth who benefit from the programming of Voice of the City, an arts alliance. In addition to the amazing pictograms shown here (which were projected at the event), the kids filled the entire gallery space with their found-art sculpture—using everything from springs and recycled duct work to boxes and beads.
